Your Big Opportunity for the Rest of 2020

We’ve all been suffering in some way due to the current Coronavirus crisis, whether it be physically, mentally or financially – but it’s important to remember that we will come out of the other side – and there will be excellent opportunities that we can grab hold of.

The reason for writing this post is to show you that, as a student of at least one of my Udemy courses, there are in fact, some very big opportunities open to you for the rest of 2020 and during 2021 too.

The image below shows some of the results of a small business survey carried out recently by VisualObjects. The survey asked small business owners which marketing channels they want to improve and use more this year. I’ve highlighted in red the areas that I think are particularly important to us…

Small Business Trends in 2020

So, let’s have a look at how these trends are important for students of each of my three courses…

  1. If you’re a student of my Web Design Course

I think that the first important point is that 29% of businesses plan to start using a website in 2020. So that is 29% that don’t have any sort of website at all but want one this year!

That is a LOT of small businesses who will be looking for someone to create their site for them. There’s also a further 29% of businesses who are looking to improve their website this year.

So all in all, that’s nearly 60% of all small businesses that are looking to spend money on a website.

With the skills you have learned in the course, will it be you that is helping these small businesses and earning yourself lots of $$ in the process?

2. If you’re a student of my Social Media Business Course

The most important results of the survey with regards to Social media is that a massive 70% plan to use Social Media more this year. As we know though, most businesses don’t know how to use it properly to attract new customers… and that’s where you come in!

As you can also see, Social Media is the 3rd most important area that businesses will look to start using for the first time this year too. So that’s even more businesses that will need help with posting to Facebook,Twitter etc.

As we know, once a business starts using you for this sort of service and you start getting good results for them, they keep using your service and paying you month after month. I’ve got clients that have now been paying me every month for over 5 years for this service and the Viral Email service!

If you’ve not already got your Social Media business set up, you’ll never get a more perfect time than this to get it sorted and working for you!

3. If you’re a student of my Viral Email Marketing Business Course

If you look at all the results of the survey, every single area includes a reference to Digital Marketing. It is the 2nd most important new business channel, 46% of businesses will use more digital marketing this year, and 21% want to improve their digital marketing.

They also state later in the survey report that 25% of small businesses plan to start using digital marketing in 2020.

And of course, digital marketing includes Email Marketing. In fact, email marketing can be one of the most profitable methods of digital marketing for a small business.

As they say in the report “Businesses can grow their brand awareness, connect with customers, and improve their reputation through good digital marketing practices. For example, small businesses can use email marketing to promote their services by launching campaigns that regularly alert clients to new updates about their products.”

As you’ll know from the course, our Viral Prize Draws are the very best way to build a large email list quickly for a small business and you can run the full service for them, from building the email list to creating and sending their email newsletters for them.

Will it be you that makes big profits by helping these businesses with their email marketing?

I hope that after seeing the survey results and reading the above, you can start to share my excitement that we’re in exactly the right place at the right time with our businesses!

Now, I do realise that the survey was done prior to the Coronavirus crisis and without a doubt, the thinking of some businesses will have changed and some of the businesses surveyed may have even gone out of business since.

But what I’m convinced of, is that when we start to emerge from the crisis, businesses will need to want to start taking action quickly so they can return to making profits again. And with your marketing arsenal, you’re in an ideal position to be able to help them to do that, at the same time as making some superb profits for yourself.

The only question is whether you’re going to take action and make the most of this opportunity?

Best regards,

Chris Towland

ps Several students have asked me if they should be trying to promote their business while the Coronavirus crisis continues. Here was my reply…

With regards to promoting your business right now while the crisis continues, there are really 4 options…

  1. Get everything setup and ready now so that you can be off to a flying start when lockdown ends. Businesses will need to get customers in fast once they’re back and we can help them with that.

  2. If you’d like to help restaurants then you could go down the survival guide / help with takeaways etc straight away. All restaurants have closed to eat-in diners so the more they can promote their takeaway and delivery service, the more they will sell. And we can help them with that!

  3. You could choose to help a niche that isn’t on lockdown and help them. So, plumbers and electricians for example.

  4. You could decide to do nothing right now and wait until it’s all over.

It’s certainly not ‘business as usual’ as we’re living in a strange world at the moment.

That said though, for lots of my social media restaurant clients, they have been offering a takeaway and delivery service and so the social posting has been really important for that. An Indian Restaurant client had been closed due to some of his staff being ill but he actually reopened for takeaway last night (Thursday). I did a single post for them to announce this and so far, it has 198 likes, 156 comments and 184 shares! They were really busy last night and I’m expecting them to be VERY busy over the coming days too!

With respect to getting new clients, businesses certainly are being very careful with their money but I have taken on new restaurant clients over the past few weeks. I created a survival guide that I give away to restaurants to help them to make the most of takeaways during the crisis. It also promotes my services. I made a free video about the guide, that you can see HERE.

Only you can decide which route is right for you. For me personally, I’d always rather take action now and try to help other businesses and myself, rather than just wait until it’s all over!
